C'est Peluche

Many thanks to Sam of Matouenpeluche for indulging me and resigning herself to a round of coffee and cake next week.
Here's just a few of her brilliant drawings, I especially love the Maurice one which Al has pinned to his wall at work and the daschund who looks super cool.
You can purchase her lovely illos from here.

Here we go again...

Looking for a new home.... and a name.
Likes cats, Stanley my dog and tea and biscuits.
Seems to be semi trained and is soppy, big time soppy. Medium sized, looks like he's possibly part collie (photo not the best) very affectionate.
My pal Hap's fostering him from the dogs home as he was about to be put to sleep.
C'mon give the dog a home.

Man meets himself in Future

Via the very brilliant Retronaut

The kitchen design community was in turmoil today following news that crawling under a sink may cause time-travel.
The surprise revelation came after Hakan Nordkvist claimed he had met himself in the future while fixing a leaking pipe. Mr. Nordkvist was unclear as to what exactly happened, saying:
“I just keep crawling in, further and further”
and:
“at the end I can stand up”
However he did provide a short film of his two selves, and summed up the experience by saying he:
“had a great time”
An Ikea spokesperson was not available for comment.

This is why you smell. For Raina. And Mac posing as Wendy.

3 weeks down, one more to go.
We thought that if your hair can do the 'if I dont wash it for weeks then it becomes self cleaning' then in theory your bodies should too.
To be fair, Milan has been the only one game enough to try it.
And I dont know if we're reaching tipping point yet, but I hope so.

At the zoo....

My mum has just put up a few photos of London Zoo in the 1930s where my great grandfather was the signwriter, on her flickr page

I was going to be an Ebonette...

I'm doing a bit of research for a job (yup, watching stuff on you tube all day classifies as research) and came across this on a bit of a nostalgia trip....
took me straight back to the primary school playground and how we practiced and practiced until there was no more grazed knees and bashed noses for our school summer fair.

waiting

Gosh its hot.

But thats great because I'm on my belated Christmas holiday for a week so I can rest my cankles in cool buckets of water sitting in the shade and drinking gin and tonics.... bliss.

A few weeks ago I had a conundrum with work when I was offered to pitch for a job which I presume many had said no to, on moral grounds.
So, a question to you where would you, draw the line? Would you be able to work for an alcohol company but not a cigarette one? A drug company or a fast food company? I am curious as to hear peoples answers.

The Best Hill at Home

My friend Mia sent this vid of Primrose Hill and her man Chris hurling himself down the slope on a sled with their dog (dressed in a barbie pink jacket, WHY?).
We're all getting to the age now when bouncing may break bones, so I think he's rather brave.
Being stinky hot here, I'm missing home, although another friend just phoned to tell me his central heating's broken and he's had to wrap a pair of thermal knickers around his head, and there's only marmite in the cupboard, so maybe I don't miss it that much.
T'was a glamorous life I led.

Codswallop

I had a dream last night that Alistair, Milan and I were DNA testing a large fish in Swiss Cottage Library.
Strange, but it was good to be back home in London.
