A very Happy New Year from our rooftop in Sydney.
Its quite amazing being able to sit on our tin roof and be in the midst of all these amazing fireworks, feeling them shake the ground as well as hearing and seeing!
The roar from the crowds at midnight was amazing.
So 2010 started with a roar rather than a whimper, for us.

My penultimate job of the year and wowser, I loved doing it.

Big thanks to the amazing people over at dt digital for taking all those assets I sent over to make mental Christmas trees and the landscape I'm happy about (no spilt blood to be seen).

Sadly you wont be able to create a tree yourself as it is for dt digitals clients only as they are planting physical trees for each virtual one planted.

But go and plant a tree yourself.

I just finished a job where I had to build a mini cut paper and screenprinted background 'set'.

I didnt want this one to end it was so enjoyable, that it could hardly be called 'work'.

I did slice the top of my finger off with a scalpel though, so I did feel some sort of pain.

Thanks to Marcela who has the patience of a saint, and Indexhibit (who make it easyish) I have a new website up.

It needs some tweaks and very possibly a slap here and there but the carcass is up, and as someone very close to me said "You just need to put some lipstick on that pig".

So thankyou Marcela, you are girl wonder, but I also have to say a huge thankyou to Giles and Chris (previously of Slipmode) who built the previous one and gave me a big kick up the bum, I miss you two. x

Marcela , Matt and I will be in the Finders Keepers art room on the 4th and 5th of December.
We'll both have some work up which will be for sale (surprise!) perfect for Christmas presents.

Perfect I say, and I know.
My parents are ever so grateful every year for something from me.
Going to their houses is quietly funny to see what they've pulled out from under the sofa and hung on the wall two minutes before my arrival.... my pops with faux gravity "Now, I dont know why that's so dusty...."

A new favourite website

Check it out, its a feel good smiley experience to counteract the daily grind shit.

Milan even took a photo of Al and I to submit, looks kind of funky seeing as Al has a fine set of muttonchops at the moment. Takes me back to this and what constitutes attractive.

An American west coast road trip next April, San Fran up to Seattle...... any tips?

Milan is so excited about a trip to Alcatraz, it's a bit concerning.

Over to Utah to see my ma and step pa and then I'm looking forward to a week with my sister in law and her husband in Cape Disappointment near Portland.
They've got a restaurant.....shes a superb pastry chef........ I'm happy bunny!

I'm hoping to get to Vancouver too, but think I maybe pushing it time wise. I'll probably be asleep anyway from all the cakes.

Alistair is just hoping I'll drive half of it.
Suppose I may try and get used to driving on THAT side of the road, especially as there's a chance we may end up there at some point in the future.....
